I first heard this song by Ruffo about 25 years ago on a borrowed LP. It has haunted me ever since through all these years, & I have never been able to find a copy. It is a superb example of Ruffo's cantilena, & reveals that long before he began abusing the sheer power of his voice, the fundamental technique was close to perfect. It is truly a timeless piece that seems to hang forever in the memory. Thank you so much for helping me rediscover a beautiful memory from my youth.
