There are several of similar videos here - Opera Company of Philadelphia has done a number of these events since this one. I just found children chorus from Carmen, toreodor's aria, even three ladies singing Queen of the Night's aria in a library. You can see some of them among the links.

You are wrong. There have been many cases of "flash opera" in Europe, the first one was actually in Spain; young people don't know opera in Europe either. Personally, I am glad our opera theaters get no government subsidies because it keeps the worst of Eurotrash (sorry, I meant "regietheater") productions out. Whereas you get to "enjoy" Nabucco with Assyrians dressed as bees, Rigoletto on the Planet of the Apes or toilets and Ruslan and Ludmila in a brothel.

To have these young talented people do this at this italian festival just shows how connected we are with the love of music and living in a country that gives us liberty.
